this makes me so happy.

"Hi everyone.

I just want to thank you so much.

This is such a big deal, not only for us, but for all other independent musicians and artists that spend most of their time struggling.

This - the fact that we're standing here tonight, the fact that we're able to hold this - it's just to prove, no matter how far out your dreams are, it's possible.

And, you know, fair play to those who dare to dream and don't give up.

And this song was written from a perspective of hope and hope, at the end of the day, connects us all, no matter how different we are. "

nonspecific randomness

  • I want to write a novel. For teens. Or maybe 'tweens' - I still can't say that without quotes.
  • ...
  • My job is killing my health. The stress of it makes me sick, the kids who constantly sneeze and cough directly on me make me sick [go figure], and the schedule makes me sick. I refer to it as 'the germ factory.' Someone today told me that kids are like petri dishes. Amen to that.
  • ...
  • That being said, I used sick days #9 and #10 this week. Ridiculous. Right now I have bronchitis. It's supposed to 'storm' and 'snow' tonight and tomorrow. Is it wrong to pray to God for a snowday?
  • ...
  • I can't predict what will happen in the future, but just talking about it with my husband lately has gotten me extremely excited. I'm still really hoping to move west this summer. I'm going to start applying for jobs soon! Yikes!
  • ...
  • I love YA books. I know I sound like a broken record. I need a job where I just read YA books. Sadly, I don't think it's actually possible to make a living on reviews.
  • ...
  • More later...

yay life.

have my second weekend of my rad class this weekend. i can't believe how much i am looking forward to it. maybe because my passion for the subject is just confirming my gut feeling that i need to work with YA lit on a daily basis...and ditch the 6-8 year olds. sorry kiddies!

seriously, i cannot WAIT to get a new job. perhaps i will write more on that later.

the other thing consuming all of my time is exercise. oh my. i've worked out for over 900 minutes since the new year. pretty amazing if i do say so myself! my school nurse who is recording everyone's weight loss every friday for 'the biggest loser' whispered to me last week 'you are my pick to win.' i'm not gonna lie, it made me feel good. even if for all i know she said that to everyone.

i'm so tired. but sorta in a good way. know what i mean?
